The London Marathon

Blackheath to The Mall

26th April 2009

Eight runners will be representing The Ellis Harriet Clark Foundation on Marathon day this year and in doing so aim to raise as much money as they can for the foundation and CLIC Sargent.

Ellis' sister Billie has completed the 26.2 mile course to raise money for CLIC Sargent so there is a rich tradition, not to mention a fast time for this years competitors to match up to.

The eight competitors include Sarah Bailey, Alex Dale, Pat Hort, Chris McDermott, Matt McMillan, Gemma Stevenson and James & Tom Wright.

You can find out more about the team and keep up with the their training by visiting their blog at www.teamellis2009.blogspot.com

or you can help in their fundraising attempts by visiting their justgiving page at www.justgiving.com/teamellis, or Richard O'Connor's justgiving page at www.justgiving.com/titchhatesbananas.

If you can't wait until April to show your support, encourage and generally enjoy watching Team Ellis struggle then pop down to Hastings on the 15th March where most of the team will be competing in the Hastings Half Marathon in their build up to the big day.

Fortunately providing they receive the proper diagnosis and

the right treatment, most kids with Osteosarcoma do recover.
