Cake Stall
Enfield Fancy Goods Housewares
November 2008

Cheryl, Chelsea, Dee and All the Team at EFG embarked on one of our earliest fundraising events for a week of selling homebaked sweets and savories..Chelsea says "My mum Cheryl had made 3 trays of bread pudding and some fairy cakes the night before which went down a storm.  Over the next few days all the girls got baking, bringing in some lovely (but very fattening) goodies and the ones who don't do baking donated ones from the shops. My great grandma who's 91 this year was on Apple Pie and Mince Pie duty - I think she made 6 large apple pies and 80 small mince pies that week, bless her!! "All for a good cause though" she said.

Chelsea went on to tell us how "every day customers piled into the canteen after Dee had put messages over the tannoy about what we were doing that week and for which charity.  Some customers didn't even want cakes or a drink but came in to put £10 and £20 in the tin" With the generosity of all of the team and customers, that week in November resulted in an outstanding total of over £1200 so a big Thank You to all of those at EFG and Chelsea, and we look forward to 2009s Cake Week!!!
